WALTON COUNTY, Fla.—December 29, 2017—Looking for something fun to do for New Year’s Eve? South Walton is not short on activities for celebrating the New Year. From four-course dinners to family friendly fireworks and shows, there’s something to fit all lifestyles.
Whether you are looking for outdoor activities or simply want to relax and enjoy 26-miles of sparkling white sand beach, South Walton’s beautiful weather and mild temperatures are sure to have the perfect event to help your family bring in 2018.
Here are some of the New Year’s Eve events being offered in South Walton:
Salute 2017 at Fonville Press- Alys Beach- 11 a.m. - (850) 213-5564
Enjoy lite fare, cocktails and live music by Chris Alvarado from 11-2 at Fonville Press before you ring in the New Year. Fonville Press offers breakfast, coffee, magazines, newspapers and a wide array of books for sale. Those wanting to indulge a bit can also enjoy desserts with imported or domestic wines and beers.
New Year’s Eve Brunch at Craft Bar 30A- Grayton Beach- 11 a.m. - (850) 213-4000
Jump start the New Year’s Eve celebrations with a delicious brunch at Craft Bar on 30A from 11-3. Dino Lourdi will be providing live guitar music, and complimentary champagne is included when you order their famous Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles.
New Year’s Eve Ball Drop & Movie Marathon at The Hub- Watersound- 3 p.m. - (850) 213-0782
Starting at 3 p.m. families can enjoy a free movie marathon featuring family-friendly favorites Minions, Home and E.T. From 4-6 parents can enjoy happy hour followed by dinner. Artist Hugh Mitchell will count down and play music as the New Year is rang in with beach balls on the lawn at 8 p.m.

Fiesta like there is no mañana! From 3-9 enjoy drink and appetizer specials with complimentary chips and Pico de Gallo. Admission is free and open to the public with food and drink available for purchase.
New Year’s Eve 80’s Bash at Marina Bar & Grill- Sandestin- 4 p.m. - (850) 267-7778
Ring in the New Year at Marina Bar and Grill with the NCAA bowl games on the big screen, happy hour from 4-7 and a special gameday menu until 7. The 80’s dance party goes from 9-2 with DJ Mike Whitty and the Baytowne Fireworks going off at 8 p.m. and midnight.
New Year's Eve Bash at The Red Bar- Grayton Beach- 5pm- (850) 231-1008
From 5-9 enjoy the regular, Red Bar menu with reservations available. Starting at 9 the Red Bar Jazz Band gets the party started accompanied by a special four-course meal with party favors and complimentary champagne. Following the Red Bar Jazz Band a DJ will help guests dance their way into 2018.
Baytowne Countdown at the Village of Baytowne Wharf- Sandestin- 6pm- (850) 267-8180
Enjoy family friendly entertainment from 6-8pm with face painting, kids activities and live music by DJ 30A with a fireworks display at 8pm for the little ones. Starting at 10 the party ramps up for the over 21 crowd (under 21 must be accompanied by a guardian) with live music from Bantum Rooster and a dazzling midnight fireworks show.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at Restaurant Paradis- Rosemary Beach- 5pm- (850) 534-0400
Join Restaurant Paradis from 5-9 for a four-course dinner featuring Beef and Bleu Cheese Tortellini, Crab and Lobster Bisque, Stuffed Shrimp and more for $100 per person. Advanced reservations are encouraged.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at Surfing Deer- Seagrove- 6pm- (850) 213-4200
Join the fine folks at Surfing Deer in Seagrove for their New Year’s Celebration featuring a five-course dinner. The cost for the meal is $130 per person with an additional charge of $55 per person with wine pairing. Reservations are required.
New Year’s Eve Celebration at George’s- Alys Beach- 6pm- (850) 234-3836
Enjoy a beautifully prepared four-course dinner prepared by Chef Camille from the rooftop patio at George’s. Adults $130, Kids $40, reservations are strongly suggested.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at Marlin Grill- Sandestin- 6 & 9pm- (850) 351-1990
Ring the new year in with a delicious four-course meal at Marlin Grill featuring Crab Cakes, Lobster, Veal and more. $109 for 6pm seating and $129 for 9 pm seating. Reservations highly encouraged.
Countdown Seaside at Seaside Ampitheatre- Seaside- 7pm- (850) 714-3166
Celebration the start of 2018 with the annual Countdown Seaside event with face painting, crafts live music and fireworks. Come early to pick the perfect spot for your chair or blankets and enjoy a complimentary shuttle running from 7am on New Year’s Eve to 2am on New Year’s Day.
SOLARIS New Year’s Fireworks Dinner Cruise at Baytowne Marina- Sandestin- 8pm- (850) 650-2519
SunQuest Cruises is hosting their annual Fireworks, Dinner and Dancing Cruise from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am. Guests can enjoy a five-course meal, live entertainment, party favors and a midnight champagne toast. This all-inclusive event is $115 per person and is limited to participants 21 and over.
New Year’s Eve Celebration at AJ’s- Grayton Beach- 9pm- (850) 231-4102
Come out to AJ’s in Grayton Beach for a New Year’s Eve Party with a special menu, party favors and a champagne toast to the new year. Live music will include Luke Langford Band at 9 on the main stage and DJ 30A hosting a Twisted Disco costume party and contest. Free admission with food and drink available for purchase.
