Two New Direct Flights Make It Easier than Ever To Visit South Walton
Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is getting a new airline in June, making it easier than ever to take a quick trip to South Walton. American Airlines will begin daily air service June 7 with flights to and from Charlotte Douglas (CLT) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airports, two of American Airlines' largest hubs.
ECP’s Executive Director, Parker McClellan says of the addition, “We are thrilled to welcome American Airlines to ECP and provide our passengers with more nonstop destinations and easy access to global connections through hubs like Dallas/Fort Worth and Charlotte Douglas. As we move into our eighth year, we are proud of the growth of our airport which wouldn’t be possible without the strong support of our local partners and board members.”
What does this mean for South Walton? Easier national and international travel for local passengers, and easier travel to South Walton for visitors.
The two hubs will open up both East and West Coast destinations for local passengers, and allow for easier and more frequent travel to South Walton for out-of-town guests. With Charlotte and Dallas/Fort Worth both being home to a variety of large businesses, this will open up the doors for more group business meetings and travel to the South Walton area. By making it easier for more frequent travel to South Walton, this new addition will also help to ensure year-round travel to the area, keeping South Walton businesses running strong.
Less than 20 miles from Rosemary Beach, ECP is the perfect landing and departure point for visitors to the South Walton area. Passengers may begin booking American Airlines flights to and from ECP beginning Monday, January 22, by visiting the airline’s website at www.AmericanAirlines.com.
