Walton County Tourist Development Council Hosts Annual Meeting
WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — May 6, 2019— The Walton County Tourist Development Council hosted its Annual Meeting on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The Annual Meeting kicks off National Tourism Week and was attended by over 200 tourism industry professionals, including county commissioners, business owners, marketing professionals, and other participants in the tourism economy.
At the meeting, winners of the Van Ness Butler, Jr. and Above and Beyond Hospitality Award were announced. Tracy Louthain, Director of Marketing & Communications at Newman-Dailey Resort Properties was presented with the Van Ness Butler, Jr. Award. The award recognizes a person who has dedicated much of their life’s work to the success of Walton County, and the continued development of a healthy tourism industry.
Jeff Archer of YOLO Board was announced as the winner of the Above and Beyond Hospitality Award, recognizing his ability to regularly exceed customer expectations, and to go above and beyond to make sure visitors to South Walton make memories while they’re here that they’ll cherish forever.
National Tourism Week runs May 5-11, 2019. All this week, the South Walton Visitor Center welcomes visitors to receive free giveaways and treats, as well as see the Visit South Walton offerings.
